A teacher at a school in Visalia, California was recently arrested after a video of her cutting students hair while belting out the national anthem was posted to Facebook. At the end of the video, Margaret Gieszingeris shown holding the scissors above her head while attempting to grab an unwilling participant’s hair as other students run away.
According to a statement from the Tulare County Office of Education, she thankfully “will not return to her classroom,” as she’s been removed due to the “disturbing behavior.” And as for the students, they’ll reportedly receive support form counselors from the Office of Education.
“We take very seriously the safety of the students in classrooms and on the COS campus,” the statement reads. “We move decisively when questions of inappropriate or unprofessional conduct are brought to the attention of UPHS administration.”
Apparently, this isn’t even her first rodeo. According to the Commission on Teacher Credentialing, her credential was previously suspended in 2007 and 2016. Check out the video of the strange incident below.
