A Tennessee teen got a lesson in respect from a stranger after berating an elderly man.
Marcus Pass was in the right place at the right time, a Zaxby’s restaurant, when he heard a teen boy laughing, then found out why. The kid was making fun of an elderly man who was stuck on a toilet in the men’s room because his legs were too weak for him to stand. Marcus went in to help the man who, it turns out, is a Vietnam Vet.
The kind Marcus assisted the embarrassed hero and then thanked the struggling man for “all he’s done.” The Good Samaritan wasn’t done yet. He turned his attention to the disrespectful kid and made him apologize to the vet.
Marcus shared the story on social media and ended with this hard truth. “Getting old is inevitable, but being a complete [expletive] to a stranger is not.”
The incident happened some time ago, but is just now making the rounds . . . maybe because we need to hear a good lesson every now and then.
