A Minnesota man's family says his love of the NFL Vikings was the death of him.
The obituary for 86-year-old John J. Ford says he died December 2nd "after the Vikings allowed 17 unanswered points" in a 37-30 Monday Night Football loss to the Seahawks. John's wife Jane told CNN, "He just figured he couldn't pull out another win for them."
The great-grandfather was a season ticket-holder for nearly 50 years and the Vikings sent a bouquet to John's funeral, where most of the mourners dressed in purple and gold.
The witty obituary also shared that John loved golf and a good cigar.
