Valley Health says they're expecting to have the single-dose Johnson and Johnson vaccine ready to administer starting this Friday. So, for the first time they will offer area residents a single-dose option to combat COVID-19. The vaccine will go to people 65 and older, and Valley Health will post upcoming vaccine clinics through a link posted at noon today at its website, available at tinyurl.com/2igbbql9.
"The Virginia Department of Health encourages those receiving the vaccine to get the first vaccine available to them," Valley Health said in a statement on Tuesday.
Appointment times start on Friday with the Johnson & Johnson single-dose vaccine. Additional clinics will be March 5th, 8th and 9th (Johnson & Johnson), March 10th (Moderna) and March 11th (Pfizer).
