A resident of Porcupine Plain in Canada is out some fence posts thanks to thieves.
The unnamed rural resident has a pile of fence posts waiting to be put up and when he went to start the job, they were missing from his property. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police were called to investigate.
What they found was amusing. The bandits behind the heist were beavers that took the posts to build a dam! The police noted in a statement that “A beaver – or beavers – helped themselves to the stash of posts and used them to help build a dam. I tried locating said beavers but they were GOA [gone on arrival].”
If found, the beavers won’t be facing charges and the “extremely Canadian” case is now closed.
