When law enforcement refers to you as an idiot to the press, you know you’ve messed up. 65-year-old Louis Branson was pulled over by the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office in Florida for driving with an expired tag. During the stop, police found two glass pipes and a live grenade inside his pickup. He also told deputies that he needed to “clear it up with Georgia” when asked for his license because it had expired in 2019, but the deputies were a bit preoccupied with the live grenade, which they had to perform a controlled detonation with. Sheriff Rick Staly said, “This idiot is lucky he did not blow himself or his truck up.”
