A Chardonnay From Aldi Wins Wine Of The Year Award

Aldi just scored a major bragging right: its Elliot Cooper Chardonnay was named Wine of the Year in the 2026 Product of the Year awards, voted on by 40-thousand consumers, and it costs just $9.65. The California-made bottle, produced by Trinchero Family Estates in Napa Valley, clocks in at 13.5% ABV and is aged in French and American oak, delivering bright fruit flavors with brioche, toasted almond, vanilla, and spice notes, plus a creamy finish. It’s exclusively available at Aldi, which was recently recognized by the International Wine and Spirits Competition for its value-driven wine selection. Aldi didn’t stop there, also taking home awards for its Simply Nature Granola Bites and protein-packed Ultra Filtered Milkshakes.
