Frito-Lay is recalling some chips over potential salmonella contamination. Both the Miss Vickie’s and the Lay’s Kettle Cooked jalapeño flavored chips are being removed stores over salmonella concerns. The concern is that the chip's season could be contaminated.
This Chip Recall Applies To:
- Chips with a “guaranteed fresh” date of July 4 or earlier.
- Multipacks that contains the jalapeño flavor with a guaranteed fresh date of June 20.
Other flavors are unaffected by the recall, including the lower-fat version of Jalapeño Cheddar Lay’s.
